New reading room
Richie has been eager to take me to a room in the UBC library which he dubs as ‘the Harry Potter Room’.
I finally got to study there for three hours last Sunday. Lo and behold it is indeed a ‘Harry Potter’ room. High ceilings, old wooden desks with cool vintage lights, ornate paintings of previous professors or university presidents, a winding staircase, high backed leather chairs… I loved it. I spent more time smiling and basking in the feel of the room than reading my books.
